What we did last year

Taking a look back

What were you doing this time a year ago, January 2021? Not just in business. Maybe you got to post your favorite photos of how you were growing and perhaps the fun you were having with your family and friends. Have you looked back at the comments you made on social media about the new projects you started and how your clients reacted?

What we did last year

Did you start a new daily routine? Was it preparing a meal for a new additional member to your home? Did you take a minute to read and take in that daily affirmation quote on your calendar? Were you the new transportation for the kids?

Did you have a most embarrassing moment this year, and are you going to share it? We aren’t either.

Have you mastered that sourdough bread recipe that took over your day-to-day focus, perhaps? Enjoying new foods and taking chances on that recipe you saw on social media is one of the key things that kept us all going throughout the year. It was amazing to see how so many companies adapted to the new way of things, especially food deliveries. The level of food quality from our ‘farm to table’ services was certainly a welcomed addition to our homes and also healthy. This leads to the next part. Self-care.

We honor the choice to take some time to be good to ourselves and feed our souls and our hearts. That can be with taking a bit of quiet time for yourself. Do those breathing exercises with that new meditation app that guides you into a state of relaxation—taking that long hot bath with the candles and your favorite baroque classics—that new walking path at the end of your street that takes you into the trees and streams. Or quite possibly, going to the salon and finally getting that cut that you’ve postponed or a new healthy midday snack that you have always wanted to try. Group videos or good conversations with friends is also one way to feel like you have a great sense of care. Self-care doesn’t always mean a daily task to prepare you for your workday; it is more of a break from that ‘have to’ feeling and giving something back to yourself. You will be much better at your functions in your daily realm.

We have a lot to be thankful for as we start this new year, and of course, the many challenges that are coming our way. We are confident that you have the tools and the resources to call upon to make it all happen. We at Aim2Assist are always ready to be your new year plan of actionlast year
