Tips for new Virtual Executive AssistantsAs the matter of fact, as you move on with this journey you will notice that one of the most important pieces to this personal puzzle is to stick with your daily schedule or routine.  I know, you’ve probably heard this before from your family members, friends or other co-workers, but to be honest, it truly makes a difference when you don’t feel like you are in limbo! Using your calendar to schedule your time to clean your house, exercise, prepare dinner or an appointment will help you stay organized especially when you have more than one client that you are working with…this is all part of finding the work – life balance that so many of us desire.

Being an effective verbal and written communicator is essential.  Remember these tips, you are in a role as a Virtual Executive Assistant and the communication aspect of this job is critical. Many times, clients will contact you via email, text or through a chat and you need to be prepared to effectively respond in a professional manner.  Also, make sure that you proof any written communication that is sent out to your client or on behalf of your client and make sure that it’s all grammatically correct! Additionally, I would like to point out that it’s also very important to remember to keep track of everything (down to the minute) on all of the various tasks or projects that you do for each client.  I don’t want to overwhelm you too much, but I think it’s important for you to know that you’ll most likely begin with only one client; however, you may end up with multiple clients so it’s extremely important to stay organized and have excellent communication skills!  ​
